The biggest galvanizing plant within the Balkans will be in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina located in Serbia. The facility of Metal-cinkara is owned by the Maksim group and is the biggest Slovenian investment within Serbia. The said facility will be inaugurated tomorrow by Dr. Mirko Cvetkovic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Borut Pahor, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, as well as, Dr. Bojan Pajtic, the Prime Minister of the Autonomus Province of Vojvodina.

A Slovenian producer of automotive electronic sets as well as plastic components, Grah Automotive has recently commenced their construction of another production centre in Batocina. The said new facility costs approximately about €12 million which has a lot area of about 5,000 square meters. It is situated to the area beside the existing facility. Roughly €7 million is planned to be invested in equipment while around €5 million will be invested for the construction of the entire facility which is projected to be completed this October. Just within the following 2 years, the facility will be employing about 400 workers. The new hall of the facility will possess state-of-the-art production technologies. Grah Automotive first opened their production facility in Serbia last October year 2006.

Slovenia together with Serbia and Croatia have agreed and signed a declaration needed for the creation of the joint railway company to give a solution to the traffic at Corridor 10.

Milutin Mrkonjic, Serbian Minister of Infrastructure, stated that this new company will commence its operation this year on September 1. Slovenia, one of the countries involved in this agreement will lead the company since Slovenia is a member of the European Union.

Through the agreement and signing of this deal, the three countries involved are compelled to work on eradicating the administrative limitations particularly of the transportation of goods and passengers during the crossing of borders.
