The aim of the future urban infrastructure is a transformation in the car dependent lifestyle. Just recently the capital city of Slovenia, Ljubljana has launched their new sustainable mobility transport policy. In this new spatial plan, the State is foresees a comprehensive traffic management system that comprises of needed roads, separate lanes, as well as new public transport routes to access the city. Plus, they’ll add new cycle lanes and pedestrian zones that will lure more investors plus liven up the city more.

The city believes that public life within the city is related to the spaces available for moving as well as static motor traffic plus walking seems to be the only natural way of movement across the city. This is the reason behind the new approach of solving the problems with traffic and revitalization of public spaces. The city also believes that through broadening the roads as well as the road network of motor traffic heightens up and lures traffic into the city which results to people being not able to drive across the city.

This traffic measures also promotes healthy lifestyle since people will now be considering walking and cycling as not just a form of exercise, but a means of transportation as well. This will be taught to children in their kindergarten and primary years in school.
