The famous Slovenian cyclist, Jure Robič died during a traffic collision at the age of 45 years old. He diet when he collided with a 55 year old diver while cycling at down hill Jesenice. He was currently on training in preparation for the competition during the Australia’s Crocodile Trophy mountain bike race. The investigation regarding the collision has been recently started.

Robič was a 5-time winner of the Race Across America Men’s solo wherein his first victory was during year 2004. He got the second place on 2009 because of a time penalty that he believes was unfairly given to him. He last won the race early part of this year.

Before Robič compete for the ultra-marathons, he was a member of the Slovenian national cycling team from 1988 to 1994. Slovenia’s former midfielder and Austria Vienna’s midfielder, Milenko Acimovic has retired from his soccer career after he got himself a persistent right knee injury.
